Ariccia, September 2026 – Daikin announces the launch of Daikin Vertical Water and the new Daikin Space Cooler & Heater range, available in both DX and Hydronic versions. Available from November 2026, these new solutions expand Daikin’s large-space HVAC portfolio, offering greater design flexibility for warehouses, logistics centres, manufacturing facilities, gyms and sports venues. With direct-expansion and hydronic options, the ranges are designed to deliver even heating and cooling for new-build and retrofit projects.
The new ranges are available in both DX and Hydronic versions, allowing the solution to be tailored to each building's specific characteristics. DX versions use refrigerant as the distribution medium and can be combined with Daikin VRV 5 systems or ERA condensing units. This configuration is suitable for new buildings, extensions to existing systems, or applications where no hydronic network is available. Hydronic versions use hot or chilled water distributed through networks connected to chillers or heat pumps. This solution is particularly suitable for commercial and industrial buildings that already have centralised hydronic infrastructure, as well as refurbishment projects where the existing system can be leveraged while minimising structural modifications, and can be retained, helping to limit structural modifications.
Daikin Vertical has been designed for applications where ceiling installation is impractical or complex. Thanks to its floor-standing configuration, the unit can be integrated into existing buildings, simplifying installation and limiting disruption. Available in both DX and Hydronic versions, Daikin Vertical delivers a nominal airflow rate of 4,000 m³/h and is designed to distribute conditioned air evenly across large spaces. The ready-to-connect configuration can further simplify installation: both the control panel and coil connections can be positioned on either the right-hand or left-hand side of the unit.
Daikin Space Cooler & Heater provides heating and cooling for large industrial and commercial spaces without using floor space. Thanks to its wall- or ceiling-mounted installation, it is ideally suited for warehouses, production facilities, and logistics centres. Featuring a nominal airflow rate of 4,000 m³/h, the unit combines high air delivery with adjustable nozzles to direct airflow towards the required areas and support even temperature distribution.
Both ranges are designed to simplify installation, operation and maintenance. The ductless design can reduce system complexity and commissioning time, helping to limit disruption in industrial and logistics facilities. The units also feature dedicated filtration systems designed to filter the air and help protect internal components over time.
Daikin Vertical and Daikin Space Cooler & Heater are designed and manufactured at the Daikin Applied Europe facility in Caleppio di Settala (Milan). Bringing design and production together on-site allows Daikin to maintain close oversight of quality and performance throughout the manufacturing process.
Both ranges will also be available from stock in a wide range of configurations, which can shorten lead times and support faster project delivery, particularly in retrofit, replacement, and system expansion applications.
